Residing in Kazakhstan, Eleonora Islamova (b.1986) is a self-taught artist.
She creates mixed media works that depict an imaginary world featuring two main characters named Sam and Lily. The work uses natural stones, epoxy resin and acrylic painting which in turn forms a three-dimensional effect. Works come in series, with each series having its own theme. This particular series was centered around childhood. Childhood, making an essential part of mental health and a sole point of unification among all people was the reason I picked this theme to begin my series with.
Along with the technique and imagery, she aims to facilitate a moment where the audience can escape the pressures of daily life and provide a sense of renewal within the individual.
