Marta Zagalo is 20 years old and was born in Aveiro. She lives and works in Lisbon, Faro, Aveiro and Coimbra.

Education

She completed her education in high school in Faro and moved to Lisbon to pursue academic studies.

“She completed her Bachelor's degree in Sculpture at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon this year with a specialization in stone sculpture as well as conservation and restoration of plaster sculptures.”

Work

As mentioned, her laboratory of specialization is stone, however, she is also interested in other materials, such as metal, plaster and wood, as well as the relationship and connection between them.

She prefers a more figurative type of work that refers to geometric shapes, opting for carving, construction and fitting techniques, but also metal welding.
