Hello, my name is Julia Ferreira and I am the Embroidery Designer.
In 2020 I discovered the art of embroidery. A beautiful and elegant ancient art, with a rich tradition and a variety of techniques modern and traditional. I paint my world, but instead of colours, I have pieces of fabric, ribbons and threads, and instead of brushes, I have needles.
The beautiful landscapes of Portugal, the various flowers, our four-legged friends and everything that surrounds me, whether it’s a bird's feather or a field of daisies, it´s all my inspiration for embroidery. In my works I use techniques from haute couture houses, such as luneville techniques, feathers, sequins, beads, pearls and crystals.
I believe that embroidery gives us the individuality we need in our daily lives, to ourselves and to our homes, helps us express our personality and surrounds us with love, harmony and, above all, diversity.
