I was born in South Africa. Art was one of my school subjects throughout my school years, after which I spent a year at art college. However life took me in a different direction in the arts, and after some wonderful years on the stage in big extravaganza shows I met my husband ,and now a lifetime later we live in Tavira on the Algarve in Portugal.

When Covid showed it's ugly head at the beginning of 2020 I decided it was time to dig out those brushes, dust off the cobwebs on those learning memories and I joined an online art group with a wonderful well known artist, Cathy Lane Milner, from Cape Town, South Africa.

For many, Covid has been a torrid and very sad experience but for myself and the sanity of my husband it presented an opportunity to get back to something I loved and lost, and now I have it back again, for that I am thankful.
